Industrial solutions for test, measurement and automation.

We specialise in C#/.NET, LabVIEW, TestStand and industrial system integration. As your technical partner, we support development and deliver complete solutions. We work with your existing tools or our S1 platforms.

Our clients include
Products

Tools for development. A platform for operation.

Use S1 Foundry to develop and test your system. ULTRAMEGA S1 runs the modules, manages their communication and monitors their operation.

Industrial infrastructure

ULTRAMEGA S1

Process isolation
Health monitoring
Auto recovery
Message bus
Circuit breakers
REST & WebSocket
MCP Gateway tools
Open APIs

The runtime platform for modular industrial systems. S1 runs and monitors modules and applies the required configuration to the running system.

  • Runtime services Process isolation, circuit breakers, health monitoring, and automatic recovery for every module.
  • Configuration S1 tracks individual module instances and shows differences between the requested and applied settings.
  • Communication A built-in message bus, REST, WebSocket, SignalR and MCP Gateway with 56 system tools, plus tools provided dynamically by modules.

Services

Development, integration and support.

We help with system architecture, modernisation and commissioning. You work directly with the engineers who develop our platforms.

System architecture and reliability

We define how the system is divided, how it handles failures and how it will be commissioned. Responsibilities for operation, recovery and support are agreed before development begins.

Test and automation modernisation

We restructure existing test and automation software into modules that are easier to maintain and deploy, and make the system easier for operators to use.

Equipment and plant integration

We connect instruments, PLCs, production systems, process historians and custom software through clearly defined interfaces.

Software engineering

Your technical partner from development to operation.

We can support ongoing development or take responsibility for delivering a defined project. We work with your existing tools and languages. You do not need to adopt S1 to work with us.

C# & .NET

Robust software for industrial systems

All our products are built with C# and .NET. We draw on that experience to develop robust test software, operator interfaces and equipment control applications. These can integrate with your other systems and use S1 APIs or run independently.

LabVIEW & TestStand

Specialist development and troubleshooting

We develop, troubleshoot and modernise production test systems, instrument control and data acquisition software in LabVIEW and TestStand. We work on existing applications as well as new systems, with or without S1 Foundry.

Python

Automation and data analysis

We write automation scripts, process measurement data, develop statistical analyses and integrate machine learning. Projects range from prototypes to tools used in daily production.

Industries

Many product variants. Strict requirements. Multiple sites.

Our systems are particularly useful where equipment from different vendors must work together, documentation requirements are extensive and the same systems need to run across several plants.

Automated production test station with operator panel

Aerospace & defence

Long-running avionics and EMC qualification programmes. When instruments become obsolete during a programme, compatible replacements can be selected through configuration. Measurement characteristics, calibration and qualification requirements must be assessed for each change.

Automotive

New models and test stations need to enter production quickly. Sequences and configurations can be reused on compatible stations. Qualification and validation requirements must be assessed for each deployment.

Semiconductor

Wafer-level and packaged-device testing. Test software can be reused with compatible probe stations and handlers. Measurement results and validation requirements must be assessed when deploying to new stations and fabs.

Energy systems

Testing grid-connected inverters, analysing transformers and running production tests for combined heat and power units across multiple sites.

Electronics manufacturing

PCB and PCBA production with many variants and frequent changes of test fixtures and instruments. Compatible equipment changes can be handled through configuration while retaining the shared test logic. Measurement characteristics and calibration still need assessment.

Wind energy

Validation of nacelles, blades and drivetrains over periods of several months. Test logic is separated from specific instrument models. Equipment changes require an assessment of which parts of the programme need to be repeated.

Results

Examples of our work.

We have developed systems for wind energy, semiconductor production and industrial measurement, among other sectors. These four projects show the requirements we worked with and the systems we delivered.

Renewable energy

A global view of wind farm operation

A SCADA analysis platform for a global wind turbine manufacturer. It brings together operational data from several continents and shows performance indicators for individual turbines and entire wind farms.

135 GW installed capacity monitored
Semiconductor manufacturing

High-volume testing and classification of micro-semiconductors

A test infrastructure that measures and classifies micro-semiconductors in cycles of less than a second. Multiple test stations work in sync, with measurement analysis in real time.

80M elements tested and binned per production roll
Energy systems

Modernising production tests for combined heat and power units

We replaced a difficult-to-maintain test program with a modular system on S1 Foundry. Test engineers can now change sequences directly without modifying the underlying code.

20,000 plants worldwide running through production test
Industrial measurement

Analysing and replaying vibration data

A platform for vibration-based condition monitoring of rotating machinery. It loads and correlates multi-gigabyte datasets and replays recorded signals through physical DAQ hardware.

GB-scale datasets replayed in real time through physical DAQ hardware
Company

Founded in Denmark in 2017.

ULTRAMEGA is a Danish technology company specialising in industrial software for test and automation. We develop production-critical systems for industrial companies in Europe and the USA, with particular expertise in C#/.NET, LabVIEW and TestStand.

Our platforms are based on years of industrial project work. We design modules for the conditions they will meet in production and support them once they are in operation.

Built for production

Fault isolation, health monitoring, circuit breakers, and automatic recovery come standard in every module we ship.

Experience in test and measurement

We work with test, measurement and automation in production environments where systems need to run around the clock.

Long-term support

We support what we build, for as long as it runs in production.

Why ULTRAMEGA

Systems that can be maintained and extended.

Many test systems have grown over years and become difficult to change. We divide systems into modules with clear interfaces so that individual parts can be maintained and extended independently.

Traditional approach
With ULTRAMEGA
Execution architecture
Monolithic test sequences running in a single process. A failure in one module can halt the entire system.
Modules run in separate processes and communicate through messages. Failures are isolated to the affected module, which can recover automatically.
Integration model
Vendor-specific APIs and proprietary instrument drivers. Switching vendors means rewriting integration layers.
Open interfaces through REST, WebSocket, SignalR, MCP and gRPC. Integrate using published API contracts without depending on proprietary adapters.
Scaling
Each test station is set up manually. Configurations are copied and must then be kept consistent across stations.
Several stations can form a shared system. New stations inherit the configuration, while the platform manages module execution and health monitoring.
Licensing
Per-seat licensing with annual maintenance fees is common. Costs scale with team size rather than usage.
The S1 core platform is free, with no per-user charges or runtime fees. Engineering services are available separately.
AI integration
Connections to AI tools need to be developed separately. The test system is often isolated from the other tools used by the engineering team.
A built-in MCP endpoint gives AI agents access to system state and operational data. They can assist operators through the same interfaces used by other integrations.
